What are the available features.

Purchase Rextra Legroom

Rextra legroom seats are available for purchase on your flight(s) at a cost of $10 per seat per sector on regional flights, and $15 per seat per sector on domestic flights. The sale of Rextra Legroom is subject to availability and Terms and Conditions. Passengers intending to occupy Rextra Legroom seats which are located in an emergency exit row must satisfy certain Safety Prerequisites stipulated by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. Emergency exit rows are situated in rows 1 and 6 on regional flights (operated by Saab 340 aircraft) and in rows 13 and 14 on domestic flights (operated by Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft.

Passengers can select and pay for Rextra Legroom when purchasing tickets online, and through Web Check-in (Web Check-in must be completed between 48 hours and 60 minutes before the scheduled time of departure of your flight).

Purchase Travel Insurance

Passengers are able to purchase insurance for their flights when amending bookings. Rex have partnered with Chubb Insurance Australia Limited (Chubb) to offer travel insurance.

For a little more than a cup of coffee in most cases, Chubb Travel Insurance covers you for the following unforeseen circumstances:

Available features:
- Missed connecting flight due to delay or cancellation of your Rex flight
- Forfeited pre-paid hotel accommodation expenses due to delay or cancellation of your Rex flight
- Forfeited Rex flight due to unforeseen circumstances outside of your control
- Loss, accidental damage or delays to checked luggage while within Rex control

Flight Changes

Passengers can amend flight details provided that it is permitted according to the fare rules.

For passengers holding a Community fare, flight changes are not permitted. Passengers holing a Promo fare are permitted to flight changes with admin fee plus any fare upgrades required. If passengers with Saver and Biz Saver fares change the flight details before the stipulated time frame, changes will be accommodated free of charge. If changes are made after the stipulated time frame, an admin fee plus any fare upgrades will be charged.

For all other fares (Flex, Biz and Biz Plus) flight changes are permitted free of charge if processed within the stipulated time frame as stated by the fare rules.

Name Changes

Passengers can amend the name on the ticket provided that it is permitted according to the fare rules.

Passengers with a Community or Promo fare are not permitted a name change. Passengers with a Saver, Flex, Biz saver and Biz fare are permitted to a name change with admin fee. For Biz Plus fares, name changes are permitted free of charge.

Cancellations

Passengers can cancel their ticket provided that it is permitted according to the fare rules.

For passengers holding a Community or Promo fare, cancellations are not permitted and tickets are non-refundable. Passengers with Saver fares can cancel their ticket with admin fee and have the ticket credited to Travel Bank if it is processed within the stipulated time frame as stated by the fare rules.

For all other fares (Flex, Biz Saver, Biz and Biz Plus) cancellations can either be credited to Travel Bank free of charge or refunded to the original form of payment with admin fee if processed within the stipulated time frame as stated by the fare rules.

Rebooking a flight that was cancelled for future use

Bookings that have been cancelled (on hold/credit) for future use can be rebooked in accordance with the Fare Rules.

In the event that the same fare category is not available for your changed flight, you will be required to pay additional to have access to the next best fare.

Please note that all tickets are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, hence travel must be booked and completed within one year of the original ticket issue date. Flights not redeemed within this time will be forfeited.
