What is Travel Bank?

A Travel Bank account manages your Travel Credits. You are able to log into the Travel transactions.


What is a Travel Credit?

Rex Travel Credit is an amount provided to you which can be used for eligible purchases as outlined in the Travel Bank terms and conditions.


How do I use my Travel Credit to purchase make a booking?

Simply call our Customer Contact Centre on 13 17 13 or +61 2 6393 5550 if outside Australia.


What if my booking is more than my Travel Bank balance?

The remaining balance of your purchase can be paid for using a second form of payment.


How do I see my Travel Bank Balance?

You can view your account summary after logging into Rex Travel Bank.

All Travel Credits available, the amount and expiry date will appear on the account summary screen.


How do I see my Travel Bank transaction history?

You can view all transactions from your Travel Bank transactions by selecting the Account Statement link.

The transaction statement includes all credits to the account as well as purchases from the account.

The transaction statement will display the date, type and amount of the transactions as well as ticket number where applicable for your reference.


What happens if my booking has more than one passenger?

Where a cancelled booking eligible for a Travel Credit includes more than one passenger, the entire amount for all passengers will be credited to one nominated adult passenger in the booking. Travel Credit may be used for eligible purchases by the nominated passenger in the name of another person.


What can I purchase with Travel Credit?

Eligible purchases include:

  • Flight bookings
  • Flight changes
  • Ancillary purchases such as Additional Baggage and seat selection including Rextra Legroom

When does Travel Credit expire?

The expiry date will be confirmed to you via email, but is generally 365 days from date of Travel Credit issuance.

All Travel Credit expiry dates can be viewed by logging into your Travel Bank account.


I want to book a flight which is past the date of my Travel Credit expiry.

A Travel Credit can be used for future travel that is beyond the Travel Credit expiry date, as long as that travel is purchased prior to the Travel Credit expiry date.

  3. Nothing in the Travel Bank Terms and Conditions or Rex’s Fare Rules will affect consumer rights as defined in the Australian Consumer Law(ACL). Non-refundable clauses do not apply in circumstances where the consumer is entitled to a refund under the ACL.
