Check-in occurs at T1 terminal at Adelaide Airport (counter 31). Departures are from Gate 50 on the southern concourse. The Rex Lounge is located at Gate 10.
For passengers with same-day onward connections with Rex or Virgin Australia and whose baggage has been checked to their final destination, the baggage is automatically transferred to their next flight.
For passengers travelling on with other airlines, baggage will be taken to the Baggage Carousel in the arrivals terminal. These passengers must collect their bags and re check-in at the new terminal in the usual way.
All Rex passengers travelling to Adelaide must advise Rex staff at their regional port of departure their full travel itinerary so that Rex can ensure their baggage is directed to the correct part of the airport terminal complex.
*There have been changes to procedures at Adelaide Airport. *
From 6 April 2020, there will be no busses assisting boarding and disembarkation.
Boarding will now take place from Gate 50.
Arrivals will also enter the terminal at Gate 50, and follow pedestrian signs to the southern end of the terminal
Note: From 1 April 2020, only passengers with a valid boarding pass (conventional or electronic) and ID can proceed past the Main Security Screening Checkpoint into the sterile area of the terminal (where the boarding gates are located). Other persons accepted include carers, parents of unaccompanied minors, airport staff and security screeners on day of duty, law enforcement and emergency services and SA Health.
This change is to align with the State Government’s requirements concerning public gatherings, social distancing and unnecessary travel.
