What is Rex Lounge?

Rex Lounge is a haven away from the noise and bustle of the terminal. Members can relax and unwind, or catch up on some work before their flight. There are workstations equipped with PCs that have internet access as well as phones for free local calls. A private meeting room can be arranged at Rex Lounge for members at Sydney. Please note, internet facilities are currently not available at the temporary Melbourne Lounge.

Snacks, tea, coffee and soft drinks are available for members to enjoy throughout the day, together with beer and wine after 3pm. You can choose from a range of newspapers and magazines, or enjoy your favourite programme on our plasma TV in Rex Lounge.

Where is Rex Lounge located?

Rex Lounge is conveniently located at Gate G2 in Sydney Domestic Terminal 2 and Gate 10 in Adelaide Terminal 1.

Please be aware that due to the Melbourne airport terminal upgrade, the former Melbourne Rex Lounge is closed and a temporary lounge will operate from the 28th of July during the redevelopment. It will be located in between Gate 12 and 13, next to the Newslink newsagency. Rex Lounge members are encouraged to collect a $10 refreshment voucher from Rex staff at either Rex Check In or Gate 14, to be used in conjunction with refreshments available at the temporary lounge. Snacks and soft drinks are available in the lounge, as is beer and wine after 3pm.

All passengers can access the lounge as per the previous process, via the fingerprint scanner.

How much does membership cost and what do members receive?

Rex Lounge annual membership costs $299 (inclusive of GST). Membership provides access to Rex Lounge in Sydney and Melbourne on the day of members’ departure or arrival on Rex flights.

How do I enter the Lounge?

All members will be given a four-digit Lounge Access Code and have their fingerprints enrolled in the fingerprint scanner. To gain access to the Lounge, you must key in your Lounge Access Code, place your enrolled finger on the scanner and the doors will open if verification is successful.

Casual Lounge access is now available at Sydney and Adelaide to Regional Express passengers with a valid boarding pass for a fee of $33. Casual Lounge access can only be purchased on weekdays between 9am and 2pm and during lounge opening hours on weekends. Casual Lounge Access can be purchased from check in, the Lounge Attendant or at the gate lounge at Sydney and Adelaide airport. Entry is subject to space availability.

How does a customer apply for Rex Lounge membership?

You can apply online here or grab a brochure from Rex check-in counters. If you are an existing Rex Flyer member and wish to join the Rex Lounge, please call 13 17 13 to register.

Can members take guests into Rex Lounge?

Rex Lounge members can invite a maximum of two guests to join them in Rex Lounge. Guests will have to purchase a guest pass to enter. Guest passes cost $20.00 per person (plus GST), valid for one visit and are available at the Rex check-in counter or departure gates. A Rex Lounge member must accompany guests and both must be travelling on Rex. Entry is subject to space availability.
