Rex Clarifies Position on Parkes Service

Regional Express (Rex) seeks to clarify some statements made in the press by Parkes council concerning Rex’s position.
In the Champion Post on Friday 7 September it was indicated by Mr Alan McCormack the Parkes Shire General Manager that the Rex Board was happy to meet Council and that it would happen hopefully in the next couple of weeks.
Rex’s position remains unchanged in terms of the withdrawal. The Rex Board does not meet until end November and if there are further proposals from Parkes Shire Council they will be considered at that meeting. Rex cannot guarantee the services will not be withdrawn before that time.
