Regional Express has indicated that it will ensure Mount Gambier is fully served with air services following the decision by O’Connor Airlines to cease Mount Gambier – Melbourne services.
“Rex will do all we can to ensure Mount Gambier is not disadvantaged as a result. We will provide additional services and seat capacity as required and we will continue providing the affordable fares that has been the trademark of Rex services all across its network.” Geoff Breust, Rex’s Managing Director said.
Rex provides over 1,200 seats on 38 Saab 340 flights each week between Mount Gambier and Melbourne. Rex fares for travel to Melbourne or Adelaide start from $115.00 for bookings made via the web.
Passengers affected by the cessation of O’Connor’s services should contact Rex on 13 17 13 or go to its web site at www.rex.com.au to seek alternative travel arrangements.
